nowa days u can put a piece of shit in a martini glass and someone will call you a genius. i define art as a way of expressing yourself through your hands. art is an opinion. there is no right or wrong answers, no good or bad. i appreciate anything that is done passionately. i am an amature. a mere 17 year old with a curious imagination. i am not serious. no one should be when it comes to art. whether it is spray painting a rat on the side of a building, painting the view atop the eiffel tower, or just dolling yourself up to take pictures of yourself to pass the time. i dnt print my stuff. its there for me. not anyone else. and if you like it-good. if you dont-good. i appreciate everyones opinion. and i appreciate constructive criticism, because i am so new to this and there is always room for improvement. but when others view themselves as on a higher level than others or simply mock their art, it is saddening. i was in class where another girl would tell this guy he was doing a good job then turn around and call it amature. so what? who cares? its there and you can see the passion and emotion behind the piece; its as good as the shit in the glass.

so cheers to all you artists out there. keep on doing what youre doing..and remember that art shouldnt be taken so seriously, or else we're taking ourselves too seriously.
